Bitsakis Dimitris is a graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a diploma thesis in Entomology (Selection of host plant and its effect on the growth of Nesidiocoris sp. and Macrolophus sp.) and an internship at the entomology laboratory of IOSV. He has been working for the last few years in SYNERGATIKI S.A.-TORAKIS I. O.E. as an agronomist-consultant for various crops but continues to maintain a collaboration with the entomology laboratory. D. Bitsakis, as an external collaborator, often deals in his workplace with many avocado growers and sends infected avocado plant tissue samples for examination at IOSV
