In 1973 he graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Pisa [Italy].His thesis was on citrus nutrition. He has since grown citrus, strawberries, avocados, apricots, peaches, roses and gerberas in a greenhouse, and others on a smaller scale. For the last 10 years he has been growing mostly organic avocados strawberries and apricots.
